The Role Of Water In Human Livelihoods

Without food, but with water, a person can live for about 2 months, but without water life lasts only for a few days. This is because of water being extremely important for the body in terms of physiology: it triggers off metabolism, washes out "worked out" elements from cells, takes them out through the kidneys with urine or through the skin with sweat. Water is a universal solvent of all organic and mineral substances in the body, and all biochemical reactions in human organs and tissues occur only in an aquatic environment.Water participates in two vital processes in the body: dissolution and transportation of substances and oxidation-reduction reactions (ORR) within cells. If many different liquids (soups, compotes, juices, tea, coffee and other drinks) are suitable for the first process, only pure water is required for the OVR.

Why should we drink clean water and how much of it do we need?

There are a lot of drinks that are good for quenching thirst. There are lemonades, cocktails, tea and coffee, milk, cocoa ... However, they can not replace pure water. Caffeine, sugar, acids, lactose, preservatives, synthetic sweeteners, carbon dioxide, excess calories - all of these are a "bonus" which goes along with a liquid and can be harmful for the body. For example, coffee and tea are useful when their consumption is limited, but in excessive amounts cause a number of diseases.Water does not contain any unnecessary "dead weight". In a pure artesian water there are only mineral, which are perfectly balanced for everyday use. Doctors advise adults to drink 30-40 ml of liquid per kilo daily, and the bulk of it should be pure water.

Artesian water

Artesian groundwater is well-protected from the anthropogenic impact, that is, the impact of human activity. Located in the deepest layers of the earth's crust, they have limestone layers that protect the basin from both sides. The water in such basins is under pressure. Due to this, during the drilling of wells, water is able to reach the surface of the earth itself. Since artesian water is flowing very deep under the ground, practically it does not participate in the natural cycle. It is protected from pesticides, poisons and nitrates, which can enter the soils, rivers, and lakes as a result of the release of industrial waste. It is protected from pollution of agricultural products. Water from artesian sources requires only a moderate treatment, since it does not contain carcinogenic and toxic compounds, and can not be contaminated with any infections.Taste of water from an artesian well is pleasant and soft. In addition, its consumption improves the general state of health and well-being. Artesian drinking water contains a large number of minerals and microelements:

  • Bicarbonate is an electrolyte that increases the pH of the blood. It has been proved that lowered pH results in a rise of acidity, which, causes a constant feeling of being tired.
  • Calcium, which strengthens the bones, improves the functioning of the nervous system, boosts the development of muscle tissue.
  • Fluoride positively affects the strength of the tooth enamel and prevents the development of mucous membrane diseases.
  • Silicon. Its deficiency affects the state of hair, nails, connective tissues and bones. In addition to its useful properties, it gives water a pleasant taste.
  • Potassium and sodium support the mineral balance.

Since artesian water contains salts and iron in high amounts, it undergoes a certain filtration before it enters the bottle. It is specially softened and reduced in the level of salts to avoid the formation of sediment and scum. Therefore, purified artesian water is suitable for cooking, brewing coffee and tea, without causing damage to the equipment and utensils.
